Every time you purchase a product from a merchant for family or household purposes that seller promises that the goods he sold you are of good quality and will perform the way that they were intended or advertised. This is called a warranty. It means the goods sold are of the same quality as all others sold to the public, and if they are not, then the manufacturer and or the dealer will repair them or replace those goods, or give you your money back if they cannot repair them after a reasonable number of attempts.

This is true of all things that you buy at the store. It includes all goods from small items like a radio, to large items such as a boat or recreational vehicle.

The important thing to remember is that you must give the dealer an opportunity to fix the problem. If he cannot within a reasonable number of attempts then you are entitled to your money back, minus an off set for mileage or use, or a replacement. In some situations you may be entitled to other damages and including civil penalties and attorney fees.
